Ladakh /ləˈdɑːk/ is a region administered by India as a union territory, and constitutes a part of the larger Kashmir region, which has been the subject of dispute between India, Pakistan, and China since 1947. Ladakh is bordered by the Tibet Autonomous Region to the east, the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh to the south, both the Indian-administered union territory of Jammu and Kashmir and the Pakistan-administered Gilgit-Baltistan to the west, and the southwest corner of Xinjiang across the Karakoram Pass in the far north. It extends from the Siachen Glacier in the Karakoram range to the north to the main Great Himalayas to the south. The eastern end, consisting of the uninhabited Aksai Chin plains, is claimed by the Indian Government as part of Ladakh, and has been under Chinese control since 1962.

As you reach Srinagar, our team members will offer you an assisted transfer to the Deluxe Houseboat at Dal Lake/Nagin Lake or whichever lodging option you chose. Savor a grand lunch at the houseboat. After lunch, enjoy a Shikara ride on the lake and you will see Kabutarkhana, Bathing Boats, Char Chinar Island, Floating Gardens, Floating Shops, and other popular tourist attractions during the Shikara ride.

On the 2nd day of this tour, you will be headed towards the Gulmarg after having a delicious breakfast. You will enjoy a full-day excursion to the snowcapped land of Gulmarg which is around 45 kilometers from Srinagar and located at an altitude of 2,690 m above the sea level. To make this tour to Gulmarg all the more adventurous, you can also enjoy Gondola cable car ride, snow skiing, etc. You can also opt for a pony ride from Gulmarg to Khilanmarg. Gondola ride in Gulmarg is the second highest in the world and you can admire the enchanting beauty of the valley during the ride. The lunch is arranged in a hotel in Gulmarg. After that, you can visit the other popular sites like India-Pak LOC and Kabootar Valley. If you wish to visit the Golf Course and play the game then you can do this also. Return the hotel in the evening and enjoy the dinner.

Post a refreshing breakfast in the morning, drive to the beautiful valley of Pahalgam situated on the banks of the River Lidder and 139 km from Gulmarg. This beautiful place is situated at an altitude of 7200 feet above sea level. While proceeding towards Pahalgam, en-route visit the Avantipura Ruins and Cricket Bat Factory. If time permits, you can also visit the temple in Avantipura en-route the Pahalgam. The place has 2 temples, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Pahalgam is the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra. By the afternoon, you will reach Pahalgam. Upon reaching there, take some leisure and then explore the scenic beauty of the Lidder river valley.

This morning, enjoy relaxing walks along Lidder River to experience its mild lapping. You can walk or hire a pony to explore the beautiful spots of Pahalgam (at your own cost). In the afternoon, embark on a drive to Srinagar. On the way to Srinagar, you will get an opportunity to explore the chandanwari, Aru Valley, and Betaab Valley. Post lunch you headed to Srinagar. Upon reaching Srinagar check-in at the hotel to relax and unwind. The evening is free for you; so if you want you can also visit the local markets of the city.

This morning, start for Kargil which is about 205 kilometers from Srinagar. En-route, stop at the valley of meadows Sonamarg for lunch and then crossover the Zojila pass which is located 3900 meters above the sea level. After driving for some time, reach the Drass Village which is said to be the 2nd coldest place on earth after Siberia in Russia. By the evening, you will reach Kargil town; upon reaching there, check-in at hotel/deluxe camp.

Post breakfast embarks the journey to Leh which is 230 kilometers from Kargil town. En-route visit the ancient rock-cut statue of Maitreya Buddha at Mulbekh village. Later stop for a photo at lunar-like landscapes near Lamayuru Monastery. On the way, enjoy a mouth tempting lunch and photo stop at the Sangam of Indus and Zanskar rivers. By the evening, arrive Leh and check-in at the hotel in Leh. The rest of the time is at your leisure. You can explore the market of Leh or rest in your hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.

On the 7th day of the Leh tour, you will leave for Nubra Valley post breakfast. Proceed for the Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass which is among the world’s highest motorable roads situated at an altitude of 18360 ft. Upon your arrival in Nubra, you will visit the Hunder Sand Dunes where you can take a camel ride on a double-humped camel or Bactrian camel.After the camel ride, you will head to the camp or hotel. Check-in at the pre-booked hotel or deluxe camp in Nubra Valley. The rest of the time is at your leisure. You can explore the enchanting beauty of the valley by taking a walk in the nearby areas. Overnight at the hotel in Nubra.

Post breakfast in the Nubra Valley, you will head for the Pangong Lake but first, you will visit the Diskit Monastery (Big Buddha). From the top of the monastery, you can get the mesmerizing view of the valley. After pay homage at the monastery, you will start for the Pangong Lake via Shyok River. The lake is situated at an altitude of 1,500 ft. and it is the world’s highest saltwater lake. Check-in at the camp upon your arrival and the rest of the time is at your leisure. Enjoy the fascinating sunset and take a stroll alongside the majestic lake.

On the 9th day of the Ladakh tour, you will leave for Leh via Chang La Pass after having breakfast. But make sure that before leaving, you will enjoy the picturesque view of sunrise on the lake. You will be headed to Leh via Chang La and En-route visit Thiksey and Hemis Monasteries. Upon your arrival in Leh, check-in at the hotel and enjoy your time here. Today, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
